About This Site
This site is another web development project of mine. I use some new technology to initialize a music player, 2D Avatar, and showcase some of my other projects. It’s been a while since I’ve done web development work. This site displays some of the latest framework, features, and technology.
I also plan to reinitialize all my old projects, however, they have taken a hit of some sort. From what I can tell, a malicious package uploaded some type of worm. The source files are all corrupt. All of the methods I used to use to host have now become paid options with outrageous limit caps. I just don’t want to participate with companies that offer free materials then all of the sudden pull the ol’ switch-a-roo upon their users. If it’s free for me, it should be free for everyone. I want to inspire everyone to get out their and do their own thing using these technologies. I don’t want to be placed upon a throne while the rest of the people suffer to obtain something that is only afforded to myself. That’s just wrong. If something is available for myself, it should also be readily available for everyone.
Right now, this site is a starting point so I can get back into web development.
About Me, Stephen H. Littleton
Hi, I am a developer from Columbus, Georgia, United States of America. I am currently 43 years old at the time of this writing. I have a high IQ of over 150+ (I will leave the actual number a secret due to modesty). I have been involved in computers since I was very young. My father was a computer guy and I was initiated into the world of computers at a very early age. I wasn’t a programmer when I was younger, but I did some accessing in order to play games that were forbidden. So I guess you could say that I was a hacker at the age of around 8 or 9 years old. When I was 12 I was playing online games using a service called mplayer. By the time I was 13 I was setting up linux servers using distros and books that I obtained at the local computer conventions. The internet information was somewhat sparse. It was nothing like we have today.
Right now I am more interested in self improvement and moving out of my comfort zone. I have taken a new path and have started doing construction and rennovations. I am currently helping my mother with her house as she plans to sell it and move to a better place where she wants to be and retire in peace. Construction is something I never would have imagined myself doing. I always thought if I just displayed my technilogical prowess that I would land a job instantly. Unfortunately this is not the case. There are few opportunities and people are very repressed when it comes to techology. It is more of a political climate and leans more towards the way of hocus-pocus than actual facts and logic. To put it simply, people just don’t understand technology so it’s replaced by magic and religion. Especially now with all the AI stuff. Most people see it as some type of conscious being that is out there thinking thoughts and all sorts of weird stuff. Personally, I don’t even accept that it’s AI, I see it more as clever scripting. As someone who has developed AI to a minor extent, I know the difference of what the technology really is. I do accept that there is a Machine Learning, or ML, technolgy and I respect that. As far as thinking there is some type of real life Max Headroom out there, even considering the brain in a box technolgy, I am just not convinced.
I spend most of my time repairing my broken down equipment. For instance, I like to repair my vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade that I purchased for a very reasonable price. I used to have the ambition to entirely redo the vehicle and restore it to it’s original glory but I had to shelve that for a while until we are planning to move. Like I said, I am all about self improvement these days.
